Pillar of Excellence Award - to nominate an outstanding tax professional, please send an email to general@tcpi.org with a short description of why you think that person should receive this annual award.
We are looking for an outstanding tax professional whose performance and activities help further the knowledge and understanding of the tax community at large. This individual may come from government, business and industry, professional services, tax publishers and authors, or academia. Although there is no minimum time requirement, he or she should have a track record and demonstrated history as a tax professional.
Criteria may include but will not be limited to the following:
- Plays a key role in developing, communicating or administering tax policy at the state, federal or multinational level
- Actively communicates and shares knowledge regarding existing and proposed tax policy, its impact on the businesses and the national economy, and its real-world implementation
- Participates in seminars, webcasts, symposia or other knowledge-sharing opportunities for current tax executives and policymakers as well as the next generation of leaders
- Plays a key role in improving the overall understanding of foreign and domestic tax policies among tax professionals, other executives and policymakers |

Session 3 International Tax Reform: An Examination of Specific Proposals Details
Much attention has been focused on the international tax proposals in the Administration’s FY 2010 budget. This session will explore the international tax reform proposals and their impact on worldwide American companies, including the provisions in the Administration’s budget, the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board, Subcommittee on Tax Reform, and other proposals.
